KBR Office brings cheer to the poor and elderly

KBR Office brings cheer to the poor and elderly over the festive season

Our Co-ordinating Officer, Chantal Esterhuizen, deserves a pat on the back for the KBRC Christmas Project that was once again successfully executed.

A total of 35 food hampers and 55 gifts to children were distributed on 17 December in Kleinmond, with the assistance of Director Fanie Krige and Kleinmond Child Welfare, and on 18 December 2015 in Grabouw, where Vice Chair Philip Fourie and representatives of the Eagles Nest Learning and Development Institute gave a hand.

Thank you to members and businesses that donated the total amount of R6,450 as well as groceries and gifts to make this work. The project contributed to greater awareness of the KBR and what can be done to preserve it, but we also found that there is a need to do much more in these poor communities.
