KBR Beckons from the ‘Other Side’
Mindful of the exquisite beauty and exceptional qualities, attributes and natural resources of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, another tour option / package is being introduced and will hopefully catch the eye of tourists (especially from foreign countries) visiting Cape Town, who might be keen to explore beyond Table Mountain, the Waterfront and the Stellenbosch Wine Route.
The option is intended to be flexible and is designed to cater for the interests of individuals who would want to make use of this particular opportunity to visit the area.
Besides the scenic coastal drive (which is an obvious draw card), the ‘menu’ would include the villages of Rooiels, Pringle Bay and Betty’s Bay – with the latter having the Stony Point penguin colony and Harold Porter Botanical Garden as main attractions. Of course the Kogelberg Nature Reserve is not to be missed – with the possible option of staying over in the delightful eco-cabins. Kleinmond has shopping and meal options in Harbour Road, as well as a number of other scenic and enjoyable possibilities to satisfy various interests and for outdoor lovers the tour would also include Rooisand with its bird-watching and wild horse magic.
Lingering at Arabella for high tea, a meal or even a night stop, is another exciting option.
Depending on the length of time available to visitors, the experience could include day hikes throughout the area, visits to the Botrivier Route and a zipline experience near Grabouw in the majestic Hottentots Holland mountain range!
